The core of the group met at high school and college and met the other members while learning their craft on the local aspiring bands scene.

The core split while university and working full time took priority but Rem pushed on alone and found his way into a Danish / Anglo rock band and found himself, signed and touring the world for a time. HooC was formed in 2007 when all the guys were based in Essex together again

The fusion of strong characters in the band is pulling its unique sound from the rich local Punk / Blues sounds of Dr Feelgood and the Kursal Flyers but then adding the electronic influences of Yazoo and Depeche Mode. This gives HooC a very unique style of Rock music like clashing the Sounds of Queens of the Stone Age and Pendulum with their own rawness.

Once into the ride of the song, you will hear the sound and lyrics of Marrs. Who sounds like Chris Cornells’s cousin from Shoeburyness on his massive power notes, with somehow being cheeky Essex boy relation of Suggs, on catchy lines and attitude.

This all gives you one hell of a live performance with almost The Who levels of aggressive stage and melodic performances from the 70’s.
